The most common and the smallest in Canada is the black bear which ranges in colour from cinnamon to black. They are solitary forest dwellers with a keen sense of smell. These bears tend to be omnivorous, eating fruits, roots, berries, honey, and other plant matter, either by choice or when meat and grubs are unavailable. Bears are known for everything from being cuddly and playful to stoic and strong. In the spirit kingdom the bear is emblematic of grounding forces and strength.
